Christmas Vacation Trip - Day Two

Monterey Bay
Visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium

I loved my previous visits to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and I was eager to share the experience with my kids! (Jelly Bean actually visited the aquarium with WhiteRabbit, his mother, and me when she was three or four years old - but she doesn't have any memory of that visit.) We ended up spending about six hours there. It was an amazing day!

I realize that this looks like a plant, but it's actually a Leafy Sea Dragon.
I was totally amazed to learn that such a creature exists!

Viewing the penquin feeding was a highlight of the day!

For dinner that night, we walked to El Torito and ate some yummy, spicy Mexican food - with fried ice cream for dessert. Then, well fed and tired from the day's activity, we were ready for a good night's sleep!
