Visiting Golden Gate Park and Cliff House
Earlier this year WhiteRabbit and I took the younger kids to San Francisco - which is one of my favorite cities - but Jelly Bean had never been there. So although the destination point for our Christmas Vacation Trip was Monterey, I decided that it'd be fun to spend a good part of the first day in San Francisco. After arriving at the San Francisco airport and picking up our rental car - a white Chrysler mini-van - we headed through the city to Golden Gate Park.
Cliff House
While we waited about 40 minutes for a table at The Bistro, we enjoyed the view from the Observation Deck. After our delicious late lunch - I had clam chowder and crab cakes, as well as several popovers - at a table next to the window, we headed down Highway 1 to Monterey.
